Define Company Objectives

Objectives define the measurable outcome you aim to achieve, not the features or projects you will building to achieve, not the features or projects you will build.

Examples:

Objective: Reduce onboarding cycle time from 45 days to 30 days by Q4

Key Results:

  1. Reduce average time-to-first-value from 21 days to 10 days by Q2
  2. Increase customers completing onboarding within target SLA from 55% to 85% by Q3
  3. Increase new customers completing technical integration within 14 days from 35% to 75% by Q4
Connect Work to Outcomes

Every initiative should clearly answer:

  • Which Key Result does this directly improve?
  • What measurable impact will it drive?
  • By when will that impact be realized?
Example OKR Alignment

Key Result: Reduce average time-to-first-value from 21 days to 10 days by Q2

Aligned Initiatives:

  1. Redefine and Standardize First-Value Milestone
  2. Automate First-Value Onboarding Workflow
  3. Launch Guided In-Product Activation Experience

Outcome: Clear alignment between initiatives and measurable business impact.
